Golden Root Barrier Balm™ is a concentrated, waterless balm made for dry, rough-feeling skin. Built on calendula- and turmeric-infused sunflower oil, jojoba oil, beeswax and vitamin D3, with chamomile, sandalwood and tea tree essential oils. It softens the feel of rough areas and helps seal in moisture, leaving a rich, protective-feeling finish.

Where it lives

Best placement: nightstand. This is the last step of the ritual, and the driest areas — hands, heels, elbows, knees — are usually the ones you notice at the end of the day. Keeping it beside the bed is what turns it into a habit.

How to use

Warm a small amount between clean fingers and press into dry areas. Use last, over a body butter or elixir, to help seal in moisture. Once or twice daily on the areas that need it.

Why these ingredients

Turmeric and calendula give the balm its warm golden color and botanical character. Jojoba is a wax-ester-rich emollient that provides lightweight slip and conditioning without a greasy finish. Beeswax builds the occlusive layer that helps hold moisture in place. A favorite for knees, elbows, heels and extra-rough patches.
